Mental Health Visits

The World Health Organization (WHO) defines mental health as a state of well-being in which every individual realizes his or her own potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to contribute to his or her community. The Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse provided data for mental health visits in 2013-2015. The average for OKC-Co was 31.3 visits per 1,000.

Suicide Mortality

This indicator represents the number of suicides per 100,000 population from 2013-2015. The rates were age adjusted to account for differences in age distributions among our community. The age-adjusted suicide rate was 17.3 deaths per 100,000 in Oklahoma City-County during 2013-2015.
